Powerchair Football

For powered wheelchair users, a sporting activity they can take part in is something of a rarity. So a new powerchair football club in the city is proving popular for members already. However, the Norwich City Powerchair Football Club is in desperate need of sponsorship and funding to help with the high cost of the equipment they need to take part in national competitions.

The team have been meeting since January to train at UEA’s Sportspark on a normal five-a-side indoor pitch with similar rules to the non-disabled version.  The main differences are that a larger ball is used, the teams are four-a-side, the goals are six metres wide and they have push-ins rather than throw-ins when the ball goes out of play.

More information about the club is available at www.clubwebsite.co.uk/ncpfc/
