Your tributes to Craig Waugh
Below are some of the tributes, and memories of, young
golfer Craig Waugh, who so tragically died in Hethersett on
July 8.
To pay tribute to Craig, e-mail eveningnews@archant.co.uk
Well what can I say other than you were one in a million Craig!
You had so much talent that will never be able to shine and
we all hoped things wouldn't turn out the way they have. It
is a tragedy and you will be greatly missed by everyone that
knew you, especially you're cheeky yet determined side! My thoughts
go out to both families involved in this tragedy.
Rest in peace

Sincere sympathies to both families for losing two loved children,
and our hearts go out to you.
God bless and may they both rest in peace.
All our love from Jasmin Dolby's family
(close friend of Chloe's, with whom she went to Hethersett school).
Craig,
In all the years that i have known you, i've never seen you
without a smile on your face, you always knew how to make everyone
laugh and smile.
Those good times we shared growing up over the years will always
stay with me.
You will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
Rest in peace hun,
Sarah xxx
Craig,
I was laughing on monday with Emma and Ben about your antics
and i remembered a time at claire's wedding years ago when myself
you and Jonny were sitting around a table i think at the Brickmakers
and your mum put a large glass of wine down on the table. With
that cheeky little grin you turned to jonny and I, picked up
the glass of wine and took a swig. Realising how rank it was
back washed it and put it back. I must admit i don't think i
had laughed so much in ages, because your mum never noticed.
Oh yeah and Ben seems to think it was you with those taps too!!!
I'll say no more, you know what im talking about though!
Im sorry i couldn't have done more on saturday. I just hope
that you find peace ad enlightenment now that you're back home.
Look after yourself and be in touch soon.

always and will always be thinking of you. becky.
Well, what a sad time. You had the world at your feet, you were
incredible talented i can remember once in you bedroom you were
practising your golf on your mini golf mat and i tried to have
a go and failed to get it in and you managed to get it in just
using one hand. I will miss not seeing your cheeky lil face
around. Everyone who knew you babes are devastated and shocked
including me. But you did live your life to the full and you
were determined with everything you did. which made you CRAIG
WAUGH.I will never forget all the good times we had. My thoughts
go out with both families. Rest in piece babes sarah x x
My thoughts and prayers go out to Cheryl, Robert, Johnny, and
everyone else associated with the accident. I grew up side by
side with Craig, I moved away at 12 to America and visited him
every summer. I have successfully played university and professional
football in the states and I owe everything I know to Craig.
He was a great friend, brother, and person. Our deepest sorrows
are with everyone and God Bless.
Sincerely
Mr.Simon Enright

Although we never had the opportunity to meet you Craig,
living so far apart, your Gran kept us up to date on all your
achievements.
Hope there is a golf course in Heaven, where both you and
your grandad (our uncle Bob) can enjoy a round of your favourite
game.
Our heartfelt sympathies to Robert, Cheryl, Johnathan, Robbie,
Aunt Madge, Gillian, Katie and Charlotte.
From all your family in Glasgow.
I DIDN'T KNOW CRAIG VERY WELL, IN FACT I ONLY MET THE LAD
A COUPLE OF TIMES MANY YEARS AGO WHEN I COOKED FOR HIS FAMILY
ON MILLENNIUM NEW YEAR’S EVE WHILST DATING HIS COUSIN.
I NEW THEN HE WAS KEEN ON GOLF IN A BIG WAY AT THE AGE OF
THIRTEEN, I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT WHEN I SAW HIS FACE IN THE
PAPER WITH SUCH HORRID HEADLINES. MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH HIS
FAMILY......SUCH A HUGE LOSS OF SUCH A NICE LAD AND GOLFING
TALENT.
MATT STRUTT
I knew Craig and his father Robert quite well and realised
very early on when I played with Craig in his first county
match that he was blessed with a golfing talent like no other!
He was a very nice young man and had time for others and he
will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to his family at
this very sad time.

As someone who went to school and worked at dunston with
Craig. I really have got to say he was one in a million..
The sunday morning after I was totally crushed to hear what
had happened and it really is a total and utter tragedy..
I owe a lot to Craig from school, he was more than a friend,
I looked up to him in a lot of ways, although i've changed
and we have all moved on, I think I can safely say from all
of us guys back in the S6 & HHS days that you will be
missed so, so much mate. Heres hoping you found a bigger,
and better golf course up there where you always win, and
never ever lose.
I will never forget you Craig, never, goodbye mate.
James W.
Everyone who was with us at Seacroft that year will never forget
that first Waugh Woooo (although maybe some of the Suffolk lads
would want to!). Since then almost every time we were on the
same golf course I heard the Waugh Wooo echoing through the
trees. It never failed to make me smile. The Norfolk golfing
fairways are quieter now and are all the worse for it. I hope
you've got your golf shoes with you buddy because they will
be impossible to fill.

Watching you Play at Barnham Broom for your team Dunston Hall
Play Barnham Broom you had a nice smile and your swing was super
Rest in peace and Barnham Broom are thinking of you.
From Vicky
I really couldn't believe it when I heard, I never really knew
you well and only met you a couple of times but you're definitely
a guy you don't forget.
You were always smiling, always willing to buy me a beer
or six and always talking about golf. I never got to see you
play but could tell you loved what you did and wouldn't have
changed a thing. You're a straight up guy Craig and there
arent too many of those about these days. You'll be missed
by everyone you knew. Rest in peace mate.
From Darren (Keeno) in Amsterdam.
Well Craig, I didn't know you as long as most, but it's no surprise
to me that so many people attended your funeral, as you were
just such a likeable person. It's a shame that someone with
such a lust for life, and talent that most of us dream of, had
to go so soon. You would have deserved all the good things you
had coming your way. I'm glad i got the chance to play in Myhill
with you. What a talent. I just feel so very sorry. Goodbye
Craig.
My sympathy to all your family for there loss.
Iain
