I had a brilliant time....
I was on the NELSON'S JOURNEY FLOAT it is brilliant that Nelson's Journey has been picked as one of this year's charities. I went on a camp two years ago and they have help me a lot and my family too.
My mum helped to build the float along with my grandad and a great carpenter who mum said gave up a whole day free to build our ship it was better than i imagined it would be.
Lots of my class friends supported me by collecting behind and i say a big thank you and to their families. Thank you to my dad to i bet you cant guess who he was on the float !!?? but if any one has any great photos of NELSON THE CAT please let us know.
Mummy says thank you to everyone in the procession who helped collect for NELSON'S JOURNEY. if any one needs any more information on us contact www.nelsonsjourney.org.uk
Thank you all again
Tom

More loos?
can we have more than two porta loos next year please?
To the builders who own the porta loo of the house they are renovating opposite the Eagle pub thanks, you don't know how much we needed you - we hope you didn't mind, we didn't have time to ask, but we left it as found.

A great carpenter from Loddon
Without whom there would of been NO Nelson's Journey Float.
He came forward after an appeal on Radio Broadland and was building the float from 10 am till 9pm (Thursday) with only a small break too. You did yourself and us proud and the kids enjoyed it too. The Victory and all who sailed in her salute you, Andy Lucas.
From the board of trustees and all the kids and families from Nelson's Journey

The best yet ...

What a great day - wonderful people having a good time and the Mayor's office putting Klang, the re-cycled Dragon, up with the municipal Snap Dragon!
I've taken part in four processions and had fun each time, but this was the best yet. Thank you, Norwich!

(Klang was made by Norwich designer Molly Barrett entirely from re-cycled materials and predates the WEEE man that cost London several thousand pounds! Visit www..norwich-dragon.co.uk)

Thank-you
May I say thank-you to everyone that took part in Saturdays parade for putting on a really good show.
Having been involved in organising floats myself, I know the amount of work that goes into the event.
I am also aware that because often the whole family and friends are involved, those taking part never get a chance to take photographs. So I have put the 60 plus photographs I have taken on the web for the participants to see.
You can find them at www.oldcity.org.uk/norwich
