1. The Eagle, Norwich

At the start of the A11, The Eagle offers a range of crowd-pleasing dishes, including burgers and Sunday roasts.

The pub also boasts one of the city's biggest beer gardens, so it is the ideal spot to visit on a sunny day.

2. The Boars, Spooner Row

Take a short diversion to this gastropub, with talented 21-year-old Tom Martins the newly-appointed head chef. 

The menu celebrates local and seasonal produce and on Tuesdays customers can get selected mains for just £12.

3. Route 11 Kitchen, Attleborough

This no-fuss café restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, with takeaways also available, and it takes bookings for car and bike meets.

The offering includes breakfasts, burgers, baguettes and cakes and the whole menu is great value.

4. Breckland Lodge, Attleborough

Directly along the A11, Breckland Lodge boasts a hotel, a coffee lounge and The Stag Bar & Restaurant.

A big draw for customers is the daily carvery, with succulent roasts served with all the trimmings.

5. The White Lodge, Attleborough

This Grade-II listed coaching inn was taken on by local pub group Snug Hospitality last year. 

The menu includes small plates, pub classics, such as fish and chips and lasagne, and 'The White Lodge Skillet' with either cajun chicken, chilli beef or fried halloumi.

6. The Grain Kitchen, Roudham

The restaurant at The English Distillery in Roudham reopened in October 2023 under new ownership as The Grain Kitchen, which has proved popular.

7. The Angel Inn, Larling

This family-friendly inn dates back to the 17th century and it serves ciabatta sandwiches and pub classics, with a large garden boasting a children's play area. 

There is also a range of accommodation options - from en suite rooms to a seasonal campsite.
