A youth-focused gaming centre has opened in a Norfolk town.

Mike Sampson, a Wymondham business owner who owns and operates the Gentleman Barber Shop in Ayton Road, launched the new venture after noticing local kids had "hardly anywhere to go".

According to Mike, Level Up Lounge is a fusion between a gaming centre and a hang-out space which features a range of modern and retro consoles including Nintendos, Playstations and Xbox, and more than 600 games.

He said: "I built the gaming lounge as I noticed that Wymondham has so many young people with hardly anywhere to go.

"So I thought I would create a fusion of gaming and a hang-out so that people can either just drop in and play after school or at the weekend, or book a private party for any occasion for them and their mates.

"We can download and play pretty much any game out there. The feedback so far has been fantastic."

The lounge, which opened on April 2, is located in the same building as the recently opened Grazie and Jakes Coffee Bar and prices for "drop in and play" sessions start as low as £5.
